What is the Stock Checker app, and what does it do?

The Stock Checker app specialises in tracking the availability of in-demand products that are usually out of stock, alerting you when the items are back in stock at your favourite retailers. Additionally, you can discover the best shopping deals on tech and gaming, including hot deals, vouchers, discount codes, freebies and more. You can also stay informed with articles about news, guides, reviews, and more in the app.

How do I download and install the Stock Checker app?

Users on an iOS device (those with an iPhone, iPad or Mac) can view our App Store page here, then proceed to download for free by tapping the 'Get' button. Users on an Android device can expect to experience the Stock Checker app in early 2024, as we have yet to release an Android app on the Google Play Store. However, we are hard at work to bring the same unparalleled experience to a broader audience.

Is the Stock Checker app free to use? Are there any in-app purchases?

The Stock Checker app is free to use on the App Store for iOS users and will be free to use on the Google Play Store once the Android app is released in early 2024. Currently, there are no in-app purchases or subscriptions. We'll update this FAQ in a future update if in-app purchases or subscriptions are introduced.

What devices and operating systems does the Stock Checker app support?

iPhone: Requires iOS 16.0 or later.
iPad: Requires iPadOS 16.0 or later.
Mac: Requires macOS 13.0 or later and a Mac with Apple M1 chip or later.

How do I create an account on the Stock Checker app?

Once you've downloaded the Stock Checker iOS app, you'll be presented with a login page the first time you open the app. On this page, you can create a Stock Checker account, log in via a Stock Checker account, or log in via Apple ID. Tap the green 'Create an Account' button to create a Stock Checker account, or use Apple ID by tapping the white 'Sign in with Apple' button.

How can I reset my password?

To reset your password, tap the blue 'Login with Email' button on the app's login page, and tap 'Forgot Password'. You will then be prompted to enter your email address for the account you want to reset the password for, followed by an email with a secure link to reset your password. Note: Only users with a Stock Checker account may reset their passwords. Those who use the app with Apple ID cannot reset their password.

What data does the Stock Checker app collect, and how is it used?

The Stock Checker app collects the following data: Email Address, Name, and User ID. These are used to function your account within our app.

How do I update the Stock Checker app to the latest version?

For iOS users, head over to the App Store, click your profile icon on the top right, then scroll down to see updates by apps on your iOS device, and tap 'update' on the Stock Checker app if we have released an update. Or visit our App Store page here and tap the 'update' button.

Can I use the Stock Checker app offline?

No. You will need an internet connection to use the Stock Checker app.

How do I customise my settings in the Stock Checker app?

Using the menu bar at the bottom of the app, tap 'settings' at the rightmost corner. You'll have many options to customise your experience, such as changing your region, adjusting push notification types, and enabling accessibility options.

How does the stock availability tracking feature work?

We do all the magic whilst you rest and sip coffee! Our in-house technology is designed to instantly detect stock availability for an in-demand product and notify you in real-time. All you need to do is visit the product you want alerts for in the tracker tab of our app and tap the bell icon at the top right corner. Then, tap the red bell icon on the popup beside the product name, which then turns green, indicating you've turned stock alerts on for that product. That's it! Now, you wait for us to do the wizardry to detect stock availability, sending you a push notification once you can buy one.

Can I receive notifications for specific items when they become available?

Yes. You can receive notifications for any specific item you desire when they become available. You can do this by tapping the bell icon in the top right corner of any product tracker page and turning the notification on for the page that slides up after tapping the bell icon.

What types of shopping deals does the Stock Checker app offer?

Our app offers deals, discounts, vouchers, freebies and more! These range from the following product types: Gaming, PC, Laptops, TVs, Monitors, Phones & Tablets, Audio, Storage, Smart Home, Wearables, Furniture & Setups, and much more. How often are shopping deals updated on the Stock Checker app?

We post multiple new shopping deals every hour of the day, giving you endless options to save from your favourite retailers on products you love.

Are the shopping deals exclusive to the Stock Checker app?

Usually, deals aren't exclusive to our app; however, occasionally, we may partner up with retailers to offer exclusive deal prices only our users can access sometimes.

Can I customise deal alerts based on my preferences?

On the settings tab, you can turn on notifications for deals. Once this is on, we'll send you a push notification whenever a deal trends in our Top Deals list. We plan to allow users to customise deals on specific products/categories in a future update.

We offer articles about PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, PC, Tech, and any other news we believe relates to the gaming and tech world. These can be breaking news, helpful guides, or in-depth reviews.

Unlike article sites that post an article every minute on the smallest topics, we only curate articles we believe matter to any gamer or tech enthusiast in general. This way, instead of seeing a news feed clogged up with different articles on minor topics, you'll find a feed full of articles that'll help you gain knowledge, be guided, or give buying advice based on a review.

Inaccuracies in stock availability usually rely on the retailer offering stock availability, as all we do is mirror their stock report. However, if you feel the inaccuracy is on our end, you may contact us here or by emailing [email protected].

How does the stock availability tracker in the Stock Checker app help me find in-demand items?

The technology we've created helps you find in-demand items by automatically tracking the stock availability of products you may be after, notifying you in real-time once we detect that users can successfully purchase at a participating retailer. This is advantageous because our technology checks stock numerous times a second, much faster than a human refreshing a product page. Whilst you focus on what's important to you, we'll handle your stress by helping you find an in-demand item!

Can I track multiple items at the same time?

Yes. Unlike competitors who require you to create an account or pay to track multiple items simultaneously, we offer this feature for free and without the need to create an account.

How often is the stock availability information updated?

Our technology automatically updates stock availability information in real-time.

Can I set specific criteria for the items I want to track, such as price range?

Currently, we only notify users if the price of the in-demand product is an official price set by a retailer, supplier or manufacturer, ensuring you're never alerted to a price above what's necessary. However, we are working to allow users to customise their price range and retailer selection for in-demand item alerts in a future app update.

Are there any geographical restrictions for the stock availability tracker?

The Stock Checker app is only available in the following regions: the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, Spain, and Italy. We're working to bring our app to France in a future update. These regions can be changed through the settings tab of the Stock Checker app.

What happens if an item I'm tracking becomes available?

You'll be sent a time-sensitive push notification, which means Apple will prioritise our notification for you over other apps that may send you a notification in the same period. You'll be directed to our app upon tapping the push notification. Once in the app, click the 'in stock' button for the retailer with stock availability of the product you're tracking, and purchase the item!

Is there a historical tracking feature to view past stock availability?

Yes. Visit a product tracker, and tap the information ('i') button in the top right corner, where you'll be presented a history of when retailers last had stock of the item you're viewing.

How accurate is the stock availability information in the Stock Checker app?

The accuracy of stock availability relies on the retailers we track. If a retailer declares an in-demand product in stock, our technology will auto-update our app in real-time with the same information, showing stock availability. Therefore, if a stock availability is inaccurate, it's usually due to the retailer declaring that information.

Can I share tracked items or availability information with others?

Yes, you can. To share a tracked item with others, tap on the product tracker you want to share, then tap the share button in the top right corner of your screen, and choose your method of sharing and who you'd like to share with! Whomever you share it with must download our app if they'd like to see information on stock availability of the in-demand product.

Is the stock availability tracker available for all types of products, including limited-edition items?

Yes. Any in-demand product, we're on it. This includes consoles, games, limited-edition variants, components, and more. If there's a product we need to track that you'd like us to track, you can let us know here or email us at [email protected].

Can I use the stock availability tracker without creating an account?

Yes. Unlike competitors, we do not force our users to create an account to use our stock availability tracker feature.

How do I remove items from my tracked list?

To remove an item you're tracking, go to the app's home page on the tracker tab at the bottom menu, tap 'My Alerts' on the top right, and remove the products you no longer want alerts for. You can also remove product alerts by visiting the in-demand product you're tracking and tapping the bell icon in the top right corner.
