**Free Online Multiplayer Weekend (Dec 10-11)**
Yep, you heard that right. PlayStation is offering a free online multiplayer weekend. This means you don't need a PlayStation Plus subscription to play with your friends on online games. This online multiplayer weekend is valid between December 10 and 11, 2022. The event by PlayStation covers all PS4 and PS5 games without a PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra or Premium membership. A free online multiplayer weekend has been an event of this past, as PlayStation hosted one of these weekends before during August 2022, giving players who don't have a PS Plus subscription the opportunity to try out multiplayer modes on their favourite games.

**Can you play online together with a PS5 and PS4?**
Yes, but this is dependent on the game you want to play. Some games, such as Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5) and FIFA 23, do not support cross-generation gaming. Although many games, such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (MWII) and Fortnite, have cross-gen capabilities, enabling you to play online together between a PS5 and PS4. **Can you play unowned games during the free online multiplayer weekend?**
Yes. You can play any online title during the free online multiplayer weekend. For this reason, we don't recommend playing games that are already free such as Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, as they do not require a PS Plus membership. You should utilise this opportunity to try out premium online games that you haven't tried before or ones your friends haven't tried before so you guys can have double the fun.
