A newly surfaced Best Buy affiliate campaign may have revealed when physical pre-orders for [Grand Theft Auto VI](https://amzn.to/4eLgVDI) could officially begin.

According to screenshots shared online by multiple creators and streamers, Best Buy’s U.S. Creator affiliate platform recently listed a campaign titled “GTA 6 Pre Order (Physical Game).” The campaign reportedly includes a 5% commission on online sales and is scheduled to run from May 18 through May 21, 2026.

The screenshots appear to show internal affiliate marketing material distributed through Impact, the platform used for Best Buy’s creator and affiliate partnerships. However, no public-facing Best Buy product page for GTA 6 pre-orders has gone live yet.

Affiliate Campaign Points to Possible Pre-Order Window

The alleged campaign has attracted attention because of its timing and wording. The listing specifically references “physical game” pre-orders, suggesting that retailers may be preparing for an official rollout in the coming days.

Several users on Reddit and X claim they received the same email through the Best Buy Creator program. One streamer also briefly displayed the message during a live broadcast, further fueling speculation that the campaign is legitimate.

At the same time, the offer does not appear to be visible to every Best Buy affiliate partner. We are also registered with the retailer’s affiliate network. We could not locate the same GTA 6 campaign in our own dashboard.

That may be because the Best Buy Creator program appears to operate separately from the retailer’s broader public affiliate system, potentially limiting access to selected creators and influencers.

Rockstar Has Not Announced Pre-Orders Yet

So far, neither Rockstar Games nor Best Buy has officially confirmed a pre-order start date for GTA 6 physical editions.

Still, the rumoured May 18 window lines up closely with Rockstar’s current release schedule. The company has already confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

If the leaked affiliate campaign is accurate, physical pre-orders would begin almost exactly six months before release.

Timing Also Matches Take-Two Earnings Report

Another detail making the leak noteworthy is the campaign’s end date.

The reported affiliate promotion concludes on May 21, the same day Take-Two Interactive is scheduled to release its fourth-quarter and full-year fiscal 2026 earnings report.

Major publishers often coordinate announcements, trailers, and pre-order campaigns around earnings calls and investor updates. While that does not confirm the leak, it does make the timing appear more plausible.

For now, fans are still waiting on an official announcement from Rockstar regarding physical editions, collector’s versions, and retailer-specific bonuses.

Until then, the Best Buy affiliate screenshots remain unverified, but they may offer the clearest indication yet that GTA 6 pre-orders are about to begin.
