As frustrating as it is, the Argos glitch is back, allowing ‘some’ locations in the UK to order a PS5 Disc Edition or PS5 Digital Edition console ahead of the restock. Unfortunately, only some areas within the UK may take advantage of this glitch, because other areas (most of the UK) are still getting stock into their stores, not ready to go live just yet. However, this is good news, as it indicates an imminent PS5 drop by Argos, which could be today or tomorrow!

How to find PS5
We’ve already had an insight of this Argos PS5 restock ahead of the consoles arriving at some stores today, though we were more lenient toward the 25th of April. Turns out stock has landed earlier than expected, and you may have a chance in securing your PS5 console today! We’ll let you know step by step everything you need to know to take advantage of the ongoing glitch, and when to expect the normal Argos PS5 restock below. Just a heads up, the glitch 90% of the time works on Click & Collect only, and not Home Delivery.
How to buy a PS5 via the glitch:
1) Visit Argos (website) and log in with an existing account
2) Visit the PS5 Disc Edition or the PS5 Digital Edition console
3) Whichever PS5 Edition you’re going for, scroll a little bit down till you see a bundle that goes by ‘Frequently Bought Together’ | The PS5 Disc Edition bundle should be PS5 + Horizon Forbidden West (£479.99) and the PS5 Digital Edition bundle should be PS5 Digital + £15 PS Store Gift Card (£374.99)
4) After adding a bundle to your basket whilst logged in, visit the Argos mobile app (iOS/Android) and log in on the app
5) After logging in on the app, the bundle you’ve added earlier should automatically appear in your basket.
6) Purchase the bundle if your checkout button is lit up green, and is displaying the full bundle price at the bottom of checkout. Ignore the bundle telling you it’s not available to buy
7) Give yourself a pat on the back, congratulations!
To know if your local stores have PS5 stock, you’d need to get to step 6 above. During this step, the PS5 console may tell you that the console isn’t available to order, though you are advised to ignore this message. If the button at the bottom of the checkout screen to purchase your items is lit up in green, you should be able to purchase the console right there and then. If this button is greyed out, then it means your local store is yet to receive PS5 stock, and there’s nothing anyone can do about that. You’d have to wait for Argos’ main PS5 restock (without the glitch) which possibly could take place later in the evening today (April 22) or tomorrow all day long (April 23).
