Dying Light: The Beast is getting a substantial physical collector's edition for PlayStation 5, with Techland teaming up with Super Rare Games to celebrate the game's first anniversary.

The appropriately named Dying Light: The Beast Anniversary Edition includes the Definitive Edition of the survival horror game alongside a sizeable collection of physical extras inspired by Castor Woods.

Pre-orders are available now, and the limited-order window closes on 16 October 2026 at 3pm UK time. Once pre-orders close, Super Rare Games will confirm the final production quantity for the Anniversary Edition. Orders placed after that point will depend on remaining stock. Shipping is currently expected during Q1 2027.

What's included in the Dying Light: The Beast Anniversary Edition?

The headline inclusion is a physical PS5 copy of Dying Light: The Beast Definitive Edition, with all game-specific content included on the disc.

The complete Anniversary Edition contains:

• Dying Light: The Beast Definitive Edition PS5 disc
• Game manual
• Outpost digital extras instruction insert
• SRG sticker
• Exclusive slipcover
• A4 hardcover art book
• Double-disc full soundtrack
• A2 double-sided poster
• Physical Castor Woods map
• 2x Dying Light pins
• 6x bloody postcards
• Castor Woods woven patch
• 2x stickers
• Glow-in-the-dark sticker sheet

It is the most elaborate of three physical PS5 editions being released by Super Rare Games. A standard Retail Edition and a limited SRG Edition are also available for players who want a physical copy without the larger memorabilia collection.

Dying Light: The Beast Definitive Edition on disc

One notable aspect of the physical release is its emphasis on preservation.

Techland says all three physical editions include the Definitive Edition, incorporating the game's post-launch updates. In contrast, Super Rare Games says all game-specific content is physically preserved on the disc. Additional digital extras include a Castor Woods tourist map, an official soundtrack, and a wallpaper pack.

For collectors who increasingly value complete physical editions over discs that rely heavily on downloads, this release could be particularly appealing.

How much does it cost?

The Dying Light: The Beast Anniversary Edition has been listed at a base price of £144. Super Rare Games' UK storefront currently displays the Anniversary Edition at £172.80, while third-party listings show the £144 price.

Pre-orders are available directly through the Super Rare Games Store.

The physical editions are exclusive to PlayStation 5, with no equivalent physical Xbox release currently announced.

When does it release?

Super Rare Games expects orders to begin shipping during Q1 2027, with a more specific date to be announced closer to release.

For the limited Anniversary Edition, the important date for collectors is 16 October 2026. That is when the limited preorder period ends, and the final production run will be established.

With its hardcover art book, complete soundtrack, physical Castor Woods map, pins, postcards and other collectables, the Anniversary Edition is clearly aimed at dedicated Dying Light fans who want something more substantial than a standard boxed copy.

As the official description puts it:

The highest-rated Dying Light game.
Become the Beast. Survive the Night.
