HORI is bringing a touch of Night City to Nintendo Switch 2 with its new Cyberpunk 2077-themed Wireless HORIPAD Turbo controller, launching on October 26, 2026.
Officially licensed by Nintendo and CD PROJEKT RED, the controller features a Cyberpunk 2077-inspired design and several practical upgrades, including TMR analogue sticks, programmable rear buttons, motion controls, and customisable button profiles.
The HORI Wireless HORIPAD Turbo (Cyberpunk) costs £54.99 in the UK and is available to pre-order on Amazon UK.
TMR Sticks and Customisable Controls
One of the controller's main selling points is its TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) analogue sticks, designed to deliver accurate, smooth, and durable stick movement. The technology may offer an advantage over traditional analogue stick mechanisms, particularly in long-term reliability.
The controller also features programmable rear buttons, allowing players to assign their preferred functions for easier access during gameplay.
A dedicated HORI Button provides quick access to Turbo and Assign functions and lets users switch between two custom button profiles. This makes it easier to adjust controls for different games without reconfiguring everything each time.
HORI has also included button lock functionality to help prevent accidental inputs during intense gaming sessions or competitive play.
Wireless Connectivity and Motion Controls
The Wireless HORIPAD Turbo offers a wireless range of up to 33 feet (approximately 10 metres), giving players flexibility when gaming away from their console.
Its built-in rechargeable battery provides up to 10 hours of playtime per charge. However, actual battery life may vary depending on usage and connectivity. A USB-C charging cable is included.
For games that support motion controls, the controller includes a gyroscope and accelerometer, allowing it to detect rotation and movement.
However, one notable limitation remains. The controller doesn't support HD Rumble 2 or standard vibration feedback, which players who prefer tactile feedback during gameplay should consider.
Compatible With Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2
Although designed for Nintendo's latest console, the Cyberpunk 2077 Wireless HORIPAD Turbo isn't limited to Nintendo Switch 2.
HORI confirms compatibility with the following systems:
• Nintendo Switch 2
• Nintendo Switch
• Nintendo Switch OLED Model
• Nintendo Switch Lite
This broader compatibility could appeal to players who own multiple Nintendo systems or plan to upgrade to Switch 2.
Release Date and Price
The HORI Wireless HORIPAD Turbo (Cyberpunk) is scheduled to launch on October 26, 2026, with a UK retail price of £54.99 through Amazon UK.
With its Cyberpunk 2077 styling, TMR sticks, programmable controls and motion support, the controller offers an interesting alternative to Nintendo's official controllers, particularly for players who value customisation.
The lack of vibration feedback may be a drawback for some, but fans of Cyberpunk 2077 looking for a themed controller with additional control options may find plenty to like here.
