LEGO is getting into the Christmas spirit with LEGO Buddy the Elf (40865), a festive display set inspired by the much-loved Christmas comedy Elf. Featuring 713 pieces, the model recreates Will Ferrell's iconic character alongside several memorable details from the film.
Released on October 1, 2026, the set is available from LEGO UK for £34.99, offering fans of the Christmas classic a new way to celebrate the holiday season.
Buddy the Elf Comes to Life in LEGO Form
Buddy is one of the most recognisable characters in modern Christmas cinema, and LEGO has captured his cheerful personality in a detailed brick-built model.
Standing over 31cm (12 inches) tall, the finished figure is a festive decoration that can take pride of place on a shelf, desk, or Christmas display.
Buddy stands proudly on an ice-themed North Pole base, surrounded by familiar film references. These include an adorable Arctic puffin, candy canes and a bottle of maple syrup, a fitting addition for a character famous for his unusual love of sugary food.
These small details help bring the world of Elf to life, making the set more than just a character model. It also celebrates the film's humour and memorable moments.
A Festive Build for Elf Fans
With 713 pieces, LEGO Buddy the Elf (40865) offers a substantial building experience for a seasonal display set.
The completed model measures over 31cm high, 16cm wide, and 8cm deep, giving it plenty of presence without taking up too much display space.
Designed for builders aged 12 and over, the set should appeal to younger fans discovering Elf for the first time, as well as adults who have made watching the film part of their annual Christmas traditions.
Unlike a traditional LEGO playset, Buddy the Elf is primarily intended for display. Its festive design makes it particularly well suited to Christmas decorations, whether displayed on its own or alongside other seasonal LEGO creations.
