LEGO is bringing a little literary charm to the bookshelf with the LEGO Icons Bookstore: Book Nook (11379), a new 1,690-piece display set created for adult builders and book lovers.
Designed to sit neatly between books on a shelf, the model creates the illusion of looking into a tiny, atmospheric bookstore. It can also be opened up to reveal a detailed two-storey interior filled with reading spaces, balconies, a spiral staircase and an author's workspace.
The set launches on October 1, 2026, and will be priced at £119.99 in the UK.
A miniature bookstore for your bookshelf
Book nooks have become a popular way to add miniature scenes to bookshelves, and LEGO's take on the idea combines that format with a fully buildable display model.
When closed, the Bookstore: Book Nook measures more than 20 cm high, 40 cm wide, and 7 cm deep, giving it a slim profile that lets it sit between novels or other books.
Open the model, however, and the narrow bookshelf display becomes a much larger bookstore scene.
Inside is a richly decorated two-storey shop with elegant balconies overlooking the interior, connected by a spiral staircase. Quiet reading areas dot the building. At the same time, a dedicated author's workspace adds another layer of storytelling.
Two minifigures are included: an author and a reader.
Literary details throughout
LEGO has also included several smaller details inspired by literature.
Among them are a golden cup, magnifying glass and black cat statue, each described as a subtle reference to renowned works of literature.
These additions likely give builders plenty to discover as they work through the 1,690-piece model, while helping the finished bookstore feel more like a lived-in space than a simple façade.
The combination of bookshelves, reading areas, architectural details and minifigures also gives the model plenty of opportunities for small scenes, despite being designed primarily as an adult display set.
