LEGO is taking builders on a trip to one of Italy's most beautiful cities with the reveal of the LEGO Icons Venetian Neighbourhood (11388). This impressive new 5,682-piece set captures Venice's charm with colourful architecture, a picturesque canal, a gondola, and plenty of intricate details to discover.
Designed for adults aged 18 and over, the set recreates a bustling Venetian neighbourhood, complete with a luxury villa, an artisan glassblowing workshop and an astronomical clock tower. Each building features architectural details inspired by the historic Italian city, making the finished model an eye-catching display piece.
One highlight is the canal-side setting, where a traditional gondola passes beneath an arched bridge. The neighbourhood also features a 3D-printed street piano, adding another distinctive touch to the lively scene.
To bring the streets to life, LEGO has included 17 minifigures, representing gondoliers, carnival-goers, tourists and musicians. These characters provide plenty of opportunities to create little scenes throughout the neighbourhood, from visitors exploring the streets to musicians entertaining the crowds.
There's plenty to explore inside the buildings, too. Removable floors and roofs reveal detailed interiors, allowing builders to appreciate the craftsmanship beyond the exterior façades. You can also separate and rearrange the different sections, offering flexibility in how you display the completed model.
Once assembled, the LEGO Icons Venetian Neighbourhood measures over 48 cm (18 inches) high, 63 cm (25 inches) wide and 31 cm (12 inches) deep. Its substantial size, detailed buildings and busy street scenes make it a striking addition to the LEGO Icons collection.
With its mix of Italian architecture, cultural details, and storytelling opportunities, the Venetian Neighbourhood looks set to appeal to LEGO enthusiasts, architecture fans, and anyone who loves Venice.
