Nintendo has released The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Playable Ocarina, a replica of Link's iconic instrument that fans can actually play. Better still, it can be used alongside The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Nintendo Switch 2.
The playable ocarina is tuned to Alto C. It comes with a strap and a leaflet featuring sheet music, giving fans everything they need to start learning some familiar melodies from the game.
What makes this replica particularly interesting is its compatibility with Ocarina of Time on Nintendo Switch 2. Thanks to the console's built-in microphone, players can perform one of Link's learned melodies using the real instrument, and Link will play the song in-game.
Nintendo has also confirmed that players can hum the melodies into the microphone to trigger the same effect. However, a physical ocarina makes the experience feel a little more authentic.
The instrument measures approximately 8.3cm x 15cm x 4.5cm and is made from ABS plastic, polyurethane synthetic leather and polyester. Recommended for ages 10 and up.
