Talha Sonmez
Sony is expanding its PlayStation audio range with the new PlayStation PULSE Wireless Headset, launching on November 19, 2026, in White and Midnight Black. Priced at £89.99, the headset combines planar magnetic drivers, PlayStation Link connectivity and AI-enhanced microphone technology to deliver immersive audio for PS5 players and other supported devices.
Designed for gaming and everyday listening, the new wireless headset promises rich, lifelike sound, flexible connectivity and a comfortable, portable design.
Immersive Audio With Planar Magnetic Drivers
At the heart of the PlayStation PULSE Wireless Headset are custom planar magnetic drivers, designed to reproduce audio with impressive clarity and detail.
According to Sony, the drivers deliver deep bass, increased volume and lifelike sound reproduction, allowing players to experience everything from subtle environmental effects to intense in-game action.
The headset also supports 3D Audio on PS5 consoles, helping create a more immersive gaming experience by making sounds feel as though they're coming from different directions.
Whether exploring expansive game worlds, listening for approaching enemies or enjoying cinematic soundtracks, the PULSE Wireless Headset aims to bring greater depth and realism to gameplay.
PlayStation Link and Bluetooth Connectivity
One of the headset's key features is support for both PlayStation Link and Bluetooth connectivity.
PlayStation Link provides a wireless audio connection for compatible PlayStation devices. Bluetooth support also lets you connect to additional supported devices.
The headset can also maintain connections to multiple devices simultaneously, removing the need to manually switch between them.
This flexibility is useful for players who want to stay connected across gaming and personal devices without constantly changing audio settings.
AI-Enhanced Microphone for Clearer Communication
For online multiplayer gaming and voice chat, the PlayStation PULSE Wireless Headset features an integrated microphone with AI-enhanced noise rejection.
The technology reduces unwanted background noise, helping teammates and friends hear your voice more clearly during conversations.
It's a welcome feature for players who regularly use party chat or communicate during competitive multiplayer sessions.
Portable Design in Two Colours
Sony is offering the new headset in two colour options: White and Midnight Black.
Both versions feature flat-folding earcups, making the headset easier to store or transport when not in use.
Measuring approximately 164 x 193 x 99 mm and weighing around 300g, the headset combines a compact design with the audio technology needed for immersive gaming.
