Launching on 15 January 2027, Story Booster ST02 is the second set in the Story Booster series. It continues the concept introduced with Story Booster 01. The set recreates memorable scenes from the Dragon Ball Super anime, with cards designed to look like moments taken directly from the screen.
With every card featuring a foil finish and a range of brand-new alternate-art designs included, ST02 is likely to attract interest from both Fusion World players and Dragon Ball collectors.
What Is Story Booster ST02?
The Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World Story Booster (ST02) is a special booster release built around anime-inspired scenes and artwork.
Instead of standard backgrounds, the cards feature anime-style environments and scene-based illustrations, giving the set a distinctive look compared with regular Fusion World expansions.
Key features include:
• Anime-inspired card artwork
• Scene-based backgrounds
• Foil finish on every card
• Brand-new alternate-art designs
• ST02-exclusive artwork
• Second release in the Story Booster series
The overall presentation is designed to make opening packs feel more like collecting memorable Dragon Ball Super moments.
Every Card Features a Foil Finish
One of the biggest differences between Story Booster ST02 and standard booster sets is that all included cards feature a foil design.
This follows the same approach as Story Booster 01 and gives every pull a more premium appearance.
For collectors who prefer shiny or display-focused cards, the all-foil format is likely to be one of the main reasons to pick up ST02.
It also gives even regular cards in the set extra visual appeal compared with non-foil versions found in traditional releases.
New Alternate-Art Cards
Story Booster ST02 will also include a wide range of brand-new Alt-Art designs.
These special versions feature different artwork for selected cards and are likely to be among the set's most desirable pulls.
ST02-exclusive designs are being created specifically for this release, giving collectors another reason to open packs and hunt for their favourite characters or scenes.
Why Is It Popular?
Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World Story Booster ST02 is likely to appeal because of:
• Anime-style card artwork
• All-foil card design
• New alternate-art versions
• ST02-exclusive artwork
• Second entry in the Story Booster series
• Strong appeal to Dragon Ball Super fans
• Collector-focused presentation
• Cards designed around memorable anime scenes
The combination of foil cards and exclusive artwork could make the set especially popular with collectors, not just competitive players.
